The five questions: What do you use your space for, I use mine to sew quilts.
Favorite thing about my space, I have one where I can sew and no one cares what it looks like. My husband never complains when it gets really messy.
What struggles do I have with my space? Well it is never big enough but I could have a house all to myself and it wouldn't be big enough I have my fabric in a closet in another part of the house, my cutting mat under the bed and I use the floor in the living room for a design wall but at least I have a place to sew.
When do you use your space? I use it every chance I get. Sometimes every day and sometimes only once or twice a week, depends on what else is going on.
Share an organizational technique that works for you. I like the old stand with the drawers in it that I use when I trim blocks. The drawers in that old stand are as long as the stand is and each drawer is half as deep as the stand so they hold a multitude of mess.
It is nothing fancy but it is mine, what is yours like, come and join the Studio Blog Tour over at Kristina's and join the fun. There are some nice prizes too. Just click on the link and scroll down or use the button on my side bar to enter and look at all the other nice places people have to craft/sew in.

Your sewing space looks nice and comfy. I like your use of old cabinets too. Isn't this fun...looking at other quilters spaces!!
What a cozy nook! And, if your wooden chair has wheels on it, then we're sewing in VERY similar chairs. Mine is an old oak secretary's chair that is very sturdy, but creaks terribly and is only comfortable because of all the cushions I have piled in it. Don't know how they sat in them back in the day. See ya'. lane
Very sweet sewing area. Looks comfy and inviting.
I really like your table with drawers! That must work great for quilting.
Thanks for showing us your space. It is interesting to see where other people quilt. I'm all for tables with longer legs. It really saves on the "old" back. Karen
Your space is great! I like the wall color...soothing.
Oh Boy that makes me think i need to get in there and clean and organize mine. thanks.

I have a sewing room now too and I do like that I can leave the mess and just close the door, but I miss sewing in the dining room and being with the rest of the family! There is a lot to be said for having your sewing room in the main part of the house!
thanks so much for participating! I really like your sewing table:)
Your sewing area seems very functional and cozy, a restful place and also inspirational. Take care
Cool place to work. It looks really well organized. "Organized" is not a word you would use for my sewing area (yes I quilt", my gun shop, or even the kitchen table when I'm cooking. I have always been jealous of folks who can keep/do things neat. Molly follows me around with a shovel. ;-) Your area is really nice ... can I borrow it sometimes?????????
Take my advice---don't let Jay anywhere near a clean table 8>)
Love your cozy space to sew. I agree on the cutting table. It will cause back problems if you have to stoop over for long periods of time.
