Valance For Sis

HI, I hope every one had a wonderful Easter. We had a nice quiet day here as hubby had some extra hours this weekend.

I finally finished this valance for my best friend. She had taken me to some quilt shops last summer when I was there and saw a valance in one of the quilt shops we went to and liked it. So I had her pick out a charm pack and told her I would make her one. Her birthday is this week and I wanted to get it done before now but I have had so many other things to get finished up and I wanted to think about how to do this. Her kitchen window is a small one and gets a lot of sun so I needed to put white on the back of it. Then at the last minute I thought about the rick rack and went in search of some.Now looking at it I wish I would have put some rick rack on the top too. It will be late but she knew I was working on it so it is not a big deal. The fabric is Fresh Flowers by Deb Strain. I know it will put  a bright spot in her kitchen.
