Quilt Show and Blog Hop....

I had intended to get the rest of these pictures up earlier in the week but the week sort of got away from me. Time goes all to fast these days. Also don't forget about the blog hop mentioned at the end of this post. Great stuff and lots of nice blogs to visit.

But onto the quilt show....

Who doesn't love an old quilt and a Grandmother's Flower Garden. I think if you click on the photo on the right to make it bigger you can read the tag.

Another GFG only this one was made recently with the old Flower Garden blocks. I like the traditional setting on the one above but I also like the fact they appliqued these blocks onto a square and then sewed them together. Also I love the shade of blue they used....

And another one in the traditional setting...

And finally this last one. This one was made with a 5 inch wedge ruler and then she appliqued the medallion onto the quilt background. It was for her husband who was a little bit Cherokee Indian, if I remember right. I thought it was very nicely done. You may be able to read the tag if you click on the photo. I really don't remember for sure what the tag said.

And don't forget to join in on the MN Quilt Designer's Blog Hop on Perkins Dry Good Blog. Lots of tutorials and give aways.

Ooops, I forgot to show this quilt. It is 2 quilts in one. They used a quilt for the batting inside and you can see a piece of it through the worn spot.......

It was a nice little quilt show and I will be sure and look for this one next year. Also one coming up in September that I want to be sure and go to if I can.

Wow what lovely quilts. Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. That was certainly cutting it fine with the blanket wasn't it? Looking forward to the next stage.

Thanks for sharing. I need to look at more GFG to get me motivated to get back to mine. It is just such SLOW going that I get discouraged. I've been working on it for TWO years!
