2 Done and ? To Go!

Unfinished quilts that is. This little table runner I got in one of the Scrap Bags last summer. Nice little kit, I had fun doing it but then let it sit. This was my first time using bias cut binding. I like how it turned out. The Santa wall hanging, someone sent to me last year when I was at my Mom's in NY State taking care of her. I had plenty to do and just never got to it. I finally got around to do some hand quilting on it, I hand quilted the other one too. First things I really ever hand quilted. I have tried it before but never really did a project before. Thought I would start small and try and get the hang of it. I have a long way to go before I am a "hand quilter" but I did enjoy working on them and will try hand quilting again.

I have been trying to get some UFO's done up. I have at least 3 small quilts to get quilted, my pineapple one needs a border and then I think I am about caught up. It has been difficult to get time to work on all of these as my hubby is on the dreaded night crew so my sewing time is not what I am used to. But I am plugging away at it.
I forgot that I did that practice hand quilting on some fabric using a stencil. It really wasn't a project it was just to get the idea of the whole thing.

Marlene - congrats on the finishes! That tablerunner is beautiful. I like that block. I have never done a block like that before. I love the fall-ish color scheme too.

Good job on hand quilting! I find it so relaxing!
I really love the tablerunner - my Elizabeth would love it, orange is her favorite color! :o)

It's good to see that someone is having some success with their UFO's. I wish I could say the same! I love hand quilting, but have a few tops that really need machine quilting to get some texture going.
Keep going!!

Those are great! I'm glad to hear that someone is finishing UFO's. I really need to buckle down and get some done. Then I find out a girl that is like a daughter to me is 4 months pregnant. So another Baby quilt to start. :) Oh well I guess I'm doing this to have fun and I am so that's all that matters. If we can share the joy and spread some love along the journey that's even better.
