Mom is stripping a piece of furniture. I have been helping her a little bit. She has taught me a lot about furniture stripping in the years past and I enjoy doing it. She was getting tired so I helped her a little. It is almost done, I admit that it doesn't look like much right now but when it is done it will be very nice, it's golden oak and not very big so it has been a quick job. It has been very neglected in the past but it will be very pretty when she is done with it.

I've done a bit of furniture stripping in the past,too. My FIL built a small desk when he was 14. They had it in their house for years and gave it to us when we moved the boys downstairs. It had been painted black, I stripped and varnished it. He was really amazed to see how good it looks.
Wow that is such a great way to bring out the beauty of wood.
