Friday Night Sew In.....

Last night was the first Sew In of the New Year. Hubby went to work and I sat at the sewing machine, put my 4-patch blocks together and watched John Wayne movies. Now, after laying them out I need to make about 12 more blocks. I need it to be a bit wider and a bit longer. So back to cutting.

John Wayne is my FAVORITE! All my friends look at my like I'm out of my mind when I say I would rather watch a western than any other kind of movie...it's nice to know I'm not alone!

What a great idea! I think I'll borrow some John Wayne westerns from the library for the next FNSI.

Sounds like a good time! I didn't sew, but caught up on some sleep.

Looks like real progress! I detest having to go back and make more blocks when I think I have enough, but just don't quite... I'm hoping for a Saturday night sew in... just a quick project to cheer me up after 10 hours of studying. Bless my hubby's heart for watching the kids for me the last two days so I could knock out homework. Our kitty needs a dish mat for his bowls (he's using a ratty old towel now) and a cat bed - because he's been downgraded to sleeping downstairs in the laundry room and studio because he won't stop meowing at our bedroom door all night long!

Multi-tasking! You go girl! Not that I'd choose John Wayne myself but we're all different :)

I love John Wayne too. I can't go to the movie True Grit cause it just wouldn't be the same without him. I like westerns too, maybe it's my age. There may be a lot of shooting in them sometimes but they're basically about a simpler time. I like that.
