I had posted this quilt before it was done with a red for the binding just laying at the sides. After I got it quilted and trimmed I decided that I liked it just the way it was. I was lucky to have enough of the fabric left over to make the binding. Then at the last minute I thought what if I cut the corners off. I had seen some quilts done that way and thought I would try it. I admit that I did not think it out too well then after I did it I thought uh oh how is this going to work out. I like to try some new things on
baby quilts.
I didn't have any trouble with the binding in a continuous strip but wondered if I had put the binding on in single strips if it would have looked better. All in all I am happy with the way it came out.
I took the photo on my front porch and had to put a sheet over the
railing because I didn't want to get it soiled.
And thanks to every one about the nice
things you said about my hand quilting and thanks for
visiting.

Your quilt is beautiful! I love the Prairie Points inside the border like that! And what a cute way to finish it off, with the corners diagonal like that! Great job!
